Boise firm ranked fourth most productive employee benefit brokerage firm in U.S.
A prestigious national insurance industry trade publication has ranked Western Benefit Solutions (WBS) the fourth most productive employee benefit brokerage firm in the United States.
Business Insurance, in the 2009 “Industry Focus” supplement, ranked WBS as the 4th most productive insurance brokerage firm in the U.S. based on revenues per employee. In 2008, WBS was ranked as the 3rd most productive insurance brokerage firm in the U.S. In 2007, Business Insurance ranked WBS as the 7th most productive insurance brokerage firm in the U.S. This is the fourth consecutive year that WBS has been the only employee benefit brokerage firm headquartered in Idaho or the northwest to rank in the top 10 most productive employee benefit specialists.
The Business Insurance productivity rankings illustrate that regional brokerage firms like WBS frequently outperform national firms in productivity. In other words, smaller firms generate higher productivity with lower overhead than larger firms.
“Providing value to our clients by specializing in employee benefits and keeping overhead costs down has always been top priority and has become especially critical in the current economic environment,” said Ron Osborne, founder and CEO of WBS.
WBS is Idaho’s largest employee benefit brokerage and consulting firm, based in Boise. WBS specializes in benefit design and implementation, self-funding, cost containment, alternative benefit strategies, forecasting trend analysis, managed care alternatives, and compliance issues.
